Qualified BMS at Solid Dose Development
Sirus were tasked with implementing the BEMS system at the Genzyme Solid Dose Development facility. The packaging facilities at Genzyme Waterford are to be expanded to incorporate a new automated line for future Genzyme products, this new line will be primarily focused on the packaging of sachet dosage forms.
The packaging facilities currently contain two high speed bottle filling, labelling and cartoning lines to support their tablet packaging requirements. These lines are responsible for the packaging of Genzyme phosphate binder products Renegal and Renvela to meet global requirements.
To meet the expansion requirements for the production facility Sirus implemented the following:
- A qualified BEMS control panel , ie QBMS
- 1 production Air Handling Unit (AHU)
- VSD’s connected to a dedicated communication network
- New TX I/O Systems installed
Sirus successfully delivered design and instillation of the job with tight timelines to facilitate early production for Genzyme.
Completion of the Solid Dose Project allows Sirus to further grow our services, additional recruitment drive begins within the Sirus group to cater for additional projects with Genzyme and other existing clients. While also growing the business with new clients and new industry.
