Sirus has provided HVAC design services to Wyeth Nutrition, for its factory in Askeaton, Co. Limerick since 2016. Services to Wyeth Nutrition include HVAC design review of existing systems, site as-built surveys (2D and 3D), commissioning and balancing, design for new areas and consultancy services, HEPA filter integrity checks and airborne particle counting, and small repair and installation projects.
The Solution
The latest and most prestigious project so far was the full HVAC and Utilities design of a new dryer tower building, in compliance to Nestlé’s highest hygiene standards.
Design included preliminary calculations and budgeting, tender stage design (IFT), constructive design (IFC), Revit 3D model and final as-built as well as BMS SDS.
In order to comply to Wyeth’s new design standards, Sirus introduced 3D Autodesk Revit software in 2017, and used it for a large number of projects.
In 2020, Sirus successfully designed upgrades to the existing HVAC which allowed their main dryer to meet new stringent Chinese requirements for ACH and room pressure.
The Result
All projects ran according to plan and all items were installed according to design with no clashes.
